چکیده
Steel reinforcement corrosion in concrete structures such as bridges, industrial plants, marine structures, and coastal buildings is a growing concern due to its impact on cost, safety, serviceability. Corrosion leads spalling, cracking, reduced diameter, which can compromise structural integrity. This study examines the behavior of columns with corroded two phases. In first phase, 72 150 × mm cross-sectional dimensions 300 length were cast subjected an accelerated technique. The examined variables cover, strength, exposure. second phase involved studying axial concerning effect column length. Column specimens lengths 500 mm, 700 900 cast, corroded, tested under compressive load. revealed that 30 cover offers 10% more protection against than 20 cover. Continuous exposure corrosive environment reduces load-carrying capacity by 50%, while 28 MPa strength carry 4% Longer are susceptible corrosion, leading significant reduction damage. Therefore, maintaining adequate regular inspections essential address steel preserve

Numerical and Experimental Investigations on the Behavior of Steel-reinforced Concrete Columns Subjected to Eccentric Loading
Steel-reinforced concrete (SRC) columns, which are classified as composite columns, became the most widely used in recent years; because of their extensive advantages over the reinforced concrete and the steel columns. In this paper, the ductility index and its influential factors were explored to investigate the behavior of SRC columns. A straightforward approach was then proposed by establish...

The ability to perform accurate nonlinear simulations is a key component in the assessment of the behavior of seismic force resisting systems. A three-dimensional distributed plasticity formulation for composite beam-columns suitable for nonlinear static and dynamic analyses of composite seismic force resisting systems has been developed. New uniaxial constitutive relations are developed for th...

In recent years, rehabilitation has been the subject of extensive research due to increased spending on building work and repair of built works. In all cases, it is absolutely essential to carry out methods of strengthening or repair of structural elements, and that following an inspection analysis and methodology of a correct diagnosis. The reinforced concrete columns are important elements in...
متن کاملReliability of Reinforced Concrete Structures Subjected to Corrosion-Fatigue and Climate Change
Durability of reinforced concrete (RC) structures is affected by certain environmental conditions and operational actions which can reduce their lifetime significantly. Among these actions, this paper proposes a stochastic model that accounts for the combined effects of chloride-induced corrosion, climate change and cyclic loading. Separately, corrosion leads to cross-section reduction, climate...

The use of composite materials is an effective technique to enhance the capacity of reinforced concrete columns subjected to the seismic loading due to their high tensile strength. In this paper, numerical models are developed in order to predict the experimental behavior of square reinforced concrete columns strengthened by glass fiber reinforced polymer and steel bars and unstrengthened colum...
